Sometimes in our lives, we run into turbulent days; there may be a hardship, failure, or loss. Challenging situations can bring about self-doubt and negative thoughts. Sometimes those negative thoughts can cause us to overlook some very significant things…mainly just who we are. More importantly, who we are in Christ.
Every now and then we need a reminder. It may be a person or a thing…whatever it is, it’s something that reaffirms God’s word about you. In times when you need validation, someone or something lets you know you are worthy and it allows you to see yourself as God sees you.
Thankfully the word clearly shows us how God sees us. When you need a reminder, I hope that these verses will speak to you and uplift your spirit.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalms 139:14
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
1 John 3:1
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love. Ephesians 1:4
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
